Which is allow us to use Yamaha Digital Arranger Keyboards more advanced, than before. Expansion option is allows us to add new realistic sounds, Styles and more, to our keyboard. We can also make our own sampled sounds and add it to our Yamaha Keyboard. Most os Yamaha Keyboard users purchasing new expansion packs without knowing the memory size of the keyboard. This article will help you to learn about your keyboard onboard expansion memory size.

Memory Size

Unfortunately All Yamaha Digital Arranger Workstation like Genos, Tyros, PSR SX Series, PSR Series and so on, has very limited Expansion Memory Size. Of course we can not add unlimited expansion voices to our Yamaha keyboard. Some of keyboards allow us to add large expansion packs, and some has small expansion memory size. But there is very good news for yamaha genos users. On November 2019, Yamaha Corporation surprised all od us, and released biggest Firmware Update for Genos (version v2.0) - they expanded Genos memory Size from 1500MB to 3000MB. Why we should know about on-board memory for expansion data of our yamaha keyboard?

When we purchase new expansion pack for our Yamaha Arranger keyboards, we need to know the Memory Size of our keyboard. Because not all expansion pack can be added on your keyboard. For example, if your keyboard memory size is 100MB, you can not install 500MB Expansion Voice. That is why we decided to introduce you expansion memory sizes of all yamaha arranger keyboards.
