Dear friends, we all already know how often our beloved Yamaha Corporation surprises its fans and customers with its excellent and high-quality keyboards.  On 13 July 2013 Yamaha Corporation released Tyros5 and Tyros5 76. After the release of Tyros 5, the Yamaha Corporation did not released Digital Workstation Keyboard like Tyros 5 for 4 years. In these years, the T5 was one of the best keyboards. Yes, I know, that the Tyros-5 is now also a good and actual keyboard.As of today, it can be compared with Genos and PSR SX900.

History

Let me start a little about the story of Tyros and Genos. As we already know, about 3 years have passed between the releases of Tyros Arranger Keyboards.

For example:

• Tyros 1 released on 1 May 2002
• Tyros 2 released on 21 June 2005
• Tyros 3 released on 17 April 2008
• Tyros 4 released on 16 June 2010
• Tyros 5 released on 13 July 2013
• Genos released on 31 August 2017 and From November 2017, Genos was available for purchase in music stores.

As you have already noticed above, 4 years have passed between Tyros5 and Genos.

Since people have been waited for a new digital arranger keyboard for a very long time after Tyros5, many musicians thought that after T5 Yamaha Corporation will release the Tyros 6. Even in these years, some Internet resources was published invented photos of Tyros 6 (A few of these fictional images I will add bellow of this paragraph). People did not even think that the Yamaha corporation was preparing a good surprise for us, which is called YAMAHA GENOS.

YAMAHA GENOS

From November 2017, Yamaha Corporation started selling the best Digital Arranger Workstation - first Genos or Genos 1. Which is actually an improved version of Tyros 5 and let's call it big brother of PSR SX Series Keyboards We can now feel free to say that the GENOS is a continuation of the Tyros family, or we can say, that the Genos is the same as "Tyros6".

To be honest, I am also a lover of Yamaha keyboards since the 90's, but me too, like many musicians were waited for the release of Tyros-6. But The Yamaha Genos has surpassed all our imaginations. For me personally, genos is a new world in the field of music. But after the release of Genos, 5 years have already passed. Technology is developing very fast in the 21st century, and people demand more technological products more and more often.

Now, at the time of writing this article is 2023 May, but so far we haven't noticed any official information from Yamaha Corporation about new generation of Genos. Recently, some unofficial Genos 2 photos and videos have surfaced on the internet, but I'm not sure, if it is real or fake like above photo of tyros 6 . We all know that Korg recently released the New Arranger Workstation Keyboard Korg Pa5x. And before the release for about 6 months earlier, real photos of Pa5x appeared on YouTube. If you read the comments under the video, you can immediately see a bunch of negative comments and almost everyone said it was fake. And same with Yamaha Genos 2 videos and photos. But the fact that it turned out to be true, and after a few months Korg released PA5x.

I'm not saying that the photos of Genos 2 that ended up on the Internet are true. But no fire without smoke I don't think Yamaha Corporation will wait long to "kill" korg Pa5x. It is my personal opinion that Yamaha will release a new generation of Genos soon, to compete with Korg. I have wrote my personal wish list for new generation of the Genos. I read a lot of people's opinions in different forums and groups. Some people say that Yamaha Corporation will release the Genos 2 before the end of 2023, some say 23th or 24th. Some people say that, Yamaha will not release a new generation of the genos, and they will only release major firmware update to v2.5 or 3.0. Who know ? I think we just have to wait patiently and maybe Yamaha will prepare another surprise for us as soon as possible.

A couple of years ago, I watched one video where Peter Baartmans said that Genos' actuality life will be last for about 5 years. I contacted Yamaha officials to ask, when they will release Yamaha Genos 2 ? But they refuse to tell me the approximate release date of Yamaha genos 2. Maybe it's a trade secret.
